Important Notice!

Express Delivery – Next working day deliveries are unfortunately no longer guaranteed. We continue to dispatch items on an overnight service where possible, however, please note that lead times could be up to 1 to 5 working days for mainland UK addresses. The current issues being experienced are changing on a daily basis, which means that lead times for deliveries, particularly within the UK pallet network, can become longer with no notice provided.

For delivery of any of our products to addresses in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, please contact us prior to ordering so that we can advise on the availability of this service. Due to circumstances beyond our control, some items are still unable to be shipped to the island of Ireland.

Delivery

Thank you for choosing Generators Direct. Please find below details of our delivery policy which we advise you read before making your purchase. If you have any questions you can contact us on 01639 849847 or you can also email us on [email protected] where we would be more than happy to help you.

Our free delivery is based on a next working day service, where possible, and covers mainland UK excluding Scottish Highlands. If you require a service for any of the off shore islands, Scottish Highlands or Ireland you will need to contact us for a price. For an overnight delivery to take place the goods would need to be in stock. Our sales team will inform you if your product is out of stock. We only offer overnight services from Monday to Friday and cannot offer overnight services on Saturday or Sunday.

For next day delivery please order before 1pm UK time. Our carriers unfortunately don’t offer a guaranteed time but we will do our best to quote you as accurately as possible.

If you require delivery to a different address from the payment card address you must contact us to inform us of this. If you fail to do so it could result in extra delivery charges for re-direction.

If your item is unfortunately out of stock you will be contacted by our sales team to inform you when your delivery will take place. We will offer you the opportunity discuss a possible alternative or a refund.

If you are not at home when the courier attempts delivery, the driver will leave you a card with details of how to collect the generator from the closet depot or how to arrange a more convenient delivery slot.

We try our very best to only display products that are in stock or products that can be dispatched to you quickly direct from the manufacturer. If we are unable to meet our usual delivery times due to certain products being unavailable we will contact you immediately to either offer you an alternative or refund.

For palletised goods (over 35kg and/or greater than 1 metre in length, width or height) delivery is made via HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) and there are additional requirements to consider for these items.

  • Pallet deliveries are made to a kerbside location
  • Deliveries cannot be made on steep inclines
  • A solid, flat surface is needed to allow safe pump truck operation
  • The driver is not permitted to enter your property
  • Pallet/packaging disposal is the responsibility of the customer/recipient
  • Access to the property must be sufficiently wide, free of obstacles and allow for at least a 7.5 tonne vehicle, measuring approximately 7.5 x 2.8 x 3.4 metres (L x W x H)

It is the customer’s responsibility to advise of any parking restriction, access restriction or weight restriction on route to the delivery address. Any issues occurring from not being informed of this prior to delivery may lead to additional charges for failed / rearranged deliveries.

At the time of delivery we strongly advise that you check your goods over to ensure that they are in perfect working order and that they are not damaged. If you notice any problems please refuse the goods and contact our sales team to arrange a replacement for you. We do not in any way offer compensation for damaged or faulty items apart from a refund.

If received goods are incorrect, faulty or damaged on delivery you have the option to receive a replacement or a full refund provided this is reported within 7 working days from delivery date.
