Overview
The PEAK 3.0-EB is a user-friendly, lightweight Smart Extra Battery, designed to add energy storage capacity to your system. Equipped to accept solar and hybrid renewable inputs, you can charge it directly and deliver clean and efficient power to your devices. Designed for scalable capacity, the PEAK 3.0-EB is built for commercial and leisure vehicles or temporary home backup use. The easy link up system allows you to add up to 2 extra batteries and one host unit for significant energy storage.
Battery information
The PEAK 3.0-EB Portable Extra Battery incorporates an automotive grade, high-quality lithium iron phosphate battery (LiFePO4), which can be cycled 3500 times before its original capacity is reduced to 80%. Having a capacity of 3072Wh, expandable up to 7680Wh by linking two units to the PEAK 2.2, the system offers a significant energy reserve for extended periods of uninterrupted power. Its in-build power management means you can simultaneously charge by multiple renewable sources such as micro wind and solar while using your connected devices. With safety in mind, the PEAK 3.0-EB Battery Management System (BMS) has multiple in-built protection features, to safeguard both the Extra Battery and your connected devices from overheating, overload, and short-circuit. These limit excessive power draw, overcharge and deep discharge to preserve the longevity of the battery. With short circuit protection and temperature control, you can confidently use the PEAK 3.0-EB, knowing that your safety is taken care of.
Output
Featuring 3 power output ports, the PEAK 3.0-EB enables you to charge and power multiple DC devices simultaneously. DC OUTPUT: The panels comprise multiple smart-charge ports that self-regulate the power your devices need: USB-A Port x 1, USB-C Port x 1, and XT60 Output x 1, allowing you to charge and power smartphones, tablets, laptops, car accessories, outdoor electronics, and other devices with DC power inputs.
Charging
The PEAK 3.0-EB offers advanced charging capabilities and flexible options to recharge the unit for added convenience: AC Charging: approximately 4 hours from 0% to 100% charge from a connected PEAK 2.2 host unit, plugged into mains. Solar and hybrid Renewable Charging: approximately 8h from 0% to 100% charge. The high-efficiency MPPT charge controller converts solar, wind (DC), or hydroelectric (DC) input, allowing you to go completely off-grid and enjoy the planet’s free energy. Onboard Charging: Trickle charge via the vehicle’s 12V socket while travelling around.

1. Which Portable Power Stations are compatible with Sherpa PEAK 3.0-EB?
It is only able to be linked to the PEAK 2.2 model.
2. What devices can PEAK 3.0-EB power?
The DC output ports are limited to USB A and C or a 12V, 30A load from the XT60 Output. Small DC heaters and camping fridges can run on it comfortably.
3. How do I calculate the PEAK 3.0-EB run time?
General equation for run time = Total Capacity (2048Wh) x 0.85 (Depth of Discharge) / Load (Device rated power-Watts)
4. Can the PEAK 3.0-EB be charged while discharging?
Yes, via the DC input MPPT port, DC power can be charged and discharged simultaneously. Also when linked to its host unit, it can discharge AC or DC whilst being simultaneously charged by either source.
5. How should the PEAK 3.0-EB be stored?
Please turn off the unit and store it in a dry, ventilated place at normal room temperature. Do not place
this unit near water sources or a wet/moist environment. For long-term storage, it is recommended to
discharge the battery to 30% every three months and recharge it to 60% to sustain the battery life.
6. Is there any other safety advice?
7. Can this product be transported by plane?
No, it is classed as dangerous goods and must be shipped by sea and
land only.
8. Is the actual useable capacity of the product consistent with the capacity stated in the user manual?
All batteries reserve some capacity to prevent them from permanent damage by deep discharge. The actual usable capacity of the PEAK 3.0-EB is therefore lower than the capacity specified in the user manual by approximately 15% so you can use up to 85%.
9. What is the storage capacity of the PEAK 3.0-EB?
The PEAK 3.0-EB has a rated capacity of 3072Wh and a useable capacity of approximately 2,611Wh.
10. Does the PEAK 3.0-EB support an Extra Battery scalability?
Yes, up to 2 extra battery packs and a host unit can be linked to the PEAK 3.0-EB to achieve up to 7,680Wh capacity.
11. Does PEAK 3.0-EB have a built-in MPPT charge controller?
Yes, there is a built-in MPPT controller; use the GX16MF port for 12V-95V (15A Max) for PV (photovoltaic) input or micro wind DC charging.
12. What kind of solar panels should I use to charge PEAK 3.0-EB?
Total open circuit voltage: 12V-95V, 15A Max
Max input power: 400W
13. How does the PEAK 3.0-EB charge?
The PEAK 3.0-EB takes energy from its host unit such as the PEAK 2.2 once it is linked up. When both are activated, they balance out their charge levels.
